Colleen Ross

Colleen is passionate about facilitating growth and change within individuals.  Whether this is done on an individual or group level, she is skilled at meeting the individuals where they are at and walking a chosen road with them.

Colleen graduated from Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) cum laude with a BA Communications Degree and an Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology.  She also graduated cum laude from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) with an M Phil (PPL) in Personal and Professional Leadership.  Her field of specialisation was Quality of Life after Retrenchment, and other areas of focus included Emotional and Spiritual Intelligence, facilitation, coaching, organisational and professional leadership, total health and well-being.  She was also accredited through the University as a PPL Counsellor and Facilitator.

Most of her 15-year career has been in the field of Human Development. Her areas of experience and expertise include recruitment, facilitation, executive and life coaching, skills development, assessing and moderating, counselling, and teaching thinking and innovation.

Colleen believes in life-long learning, and has continually developed herself through her career. She is registered as a Skills Development Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator with Services Seta, FASSET, Bankseta and LGSeta in a variety of qualifications and unit standards, but specifically those related to the financial sector, management, leadership and the services industry.  She is a member of various professional bodies – a Master Assessor and Moderator with CIMAP (Chartered Institute for Management of Assessment Practice), a Practitioner Coach with COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa), and a Chartered HR Professional with SABPP (South African Board for People Practitioners).

Colleen is also one of a handful of internationally accredited facilitators in the thinking, creativity, and innovation methods of Dr Edward de Bono i.e. Six Thinking Hats, Lateral Thinking, Direct Attention Thinking Tools, and Focus on Facilitation.

She has been fortunate to have a wide client base representing many different fields and industries. The diversity of clients and their needs has ensured that Colleen has always remained on top of development in their industries, therefore ensuring she has always been able to marry the needs of the organisation to those of the individual.

It is Colleen’s passion and life purpose to serve others.  She does this by facilitating a process of personal growth and change with an individual assisting them to become the best that they can be.
